answer: Our programs. Needs to be updated to be effective though. When is Crowfoot getting theirs?

Question: Do you see any practical applications for LibraryThing either at home or at work? Will you start using this site?

Answer: I think this might have some use at work, but not for me personally. I will play around on it more when at info to see if it might help customers.

Question: Do you see yourself using these tools or will you stick to more traditional methods. If you were to use one of these tools regularly, which would it be and why?

I have meant to try google calendar for a while. I can't believe how easy it was! I just might organize all my calendars with this.

CPL 2.0 Flickr & Youtube

I had never looked at flickr before. I didn't realize it could be used for image searching! I did a search for something I had recently done using google images and was surprised by all the images that came up. Perhaps I will no longer look through clip art for images, thus avoiding embarrassment for my son. (he couldn't believe I went to microsoft clipart for an image!)

I just happened to be shown the dramatic chipmunk video within the last two days by my son! Love some of the clips, think much of it can be a waste of time.

CPL 2.0 RSS feeds

Question: Were you able to successfully set up your RSS feed? If not, where did you run into problems? If you were successful, does this make information-gathering more convenient for you?

My answer is yes I was successful, but I haven't found anything yet that I really want to be updated on. I will be on the lookout as I browse the internet on my spare time!

Question: What do you like about the Google product? What do you dislike? Would you recommend the product to friends and colleagues?

A Google product I really like is google maps. It is easy to use and when looking for someone's address for example, it's really nice to be able to do a street view to see what the house actually looks like! I would recommend it to anyone.

Question: For you, is Facebook useful or a time-waster?

Too soon to tell. I would have to say that I would be leaning towards time-waster as I don't have any contacts on my site as of yet. I have trouble keeping up with people as it is because of a lack of time. Having another source to check will likely just use up more of my time, but I could be wrong.

Question of the day: Were you able to find a topic obscure enough that Wikipedia doesn’t cover it?

2.0 Delicious

What a difference a few minutes can make! I have briefly looked at delicious from time to time, but never really found it useful. Spending a few minutes on it this morning made a big difference for me. Just realising that I can put it in alphabetical order made it make so much more sense. Scrolling through the tags allowed me an opportunity to see what is available for future requests without the pressure of wanting to help the customer now. I can now see myself going to these as an information option.

A tip I would pass along is to put the tags in alphabetical order and to have them open in a new window. I found this useful when looking at a subject and it was like peeking at a tag while still having the list in the background. I didn't feel as lost this way.

Which aspect of Web 2.0 are you the most intrigued (or scared) by?

My answer to this would be that I fear that I would have nothing interesting to blog about. How many loads of laundry do people want to hear I have done in a week? Scared would be a bit of a strong word to use for this, but now that I have created it, I am interested to see where I might take it! "web 2.0" has been explained to me in the past, but really hasn't sunk into my head what this really means.
